he said he had no work...i would have found a way to keep him busy...

No one does charity here” Click here to add this article to My Clips
Shiney Ahuja is the flavor of the season. After winning tremendous acclaim for his performances in GANGSTER and WOH LAMHE…, Shiney is being considered for the best of projects these days. In fact, if there’s one newcomer who’s carved a niche in a relatively short span, it’s Shiney.

But success comes with its share of controversies. And the rumor doing the rounds of the industry is that Shiney is charging an exorbitant fee [Rs. 1 crore] per film. “Is that what people are saying?” Shiney asks, when I confront him with the rumor, “I really don’t want to discuss my remuneration in public, but if I am being offered an ‘x’ amount by producers, who am I to complain?”

Please elaborate. “Post-GANGSTER, offers have been pouring in every day. Obviously, you can’t do all the films offered to you. Sometimes, you refuse a film by quoting a ridiculous price, but if the producer is ready to pay that amount, is it right to blame the actor for it? And why should I refuse money? Won’t it be foolish on my part if I did so?” Shiney states.

Shiney recounts the days when he had no work on hand. “It was tough. Extremely frustrating. But things changed after GANGSTER. Believe me, I haven’t hiked my price at all. I am quoting what I deserve. And if the producers are cool with it, why this hullabaloo? After all, no one does charity here.” Point noted!

frank race talk...dont be offended

americans are so quick to call anyone abroad a terrorist. but all those serial killers and psychos in our own country (that are comprised of a "surprisingly" large WHITE population), are left being called just that - serial killers and psychos.

ive had two dreams within the past week where an old white man was chasing me and about to kill me. so, i dont know what that means... that i even subconsciously dream of being killed by none other than a white dude? and then i read this morning that the colorado gunman has been caught..so it prompted me to write this.

i remember watching some tv show..i think it was 'yes dear' ...and there was something about a black guy coming over to dinner to this white family, and this one white guy on it goes...i'm not afraid of him (the black guy coming over). i'm afraid that the black guy next door will steal the tv from my home, but im afraid that the white guy next door will come and chop my head off and bury me in the backyard.

a dangerous stereotype for both races but nonetheless i find it amusing.

i always had a secret crush on rahul khanna

and this is why:

Rahul Khanna, on learning from PETA of the elephant who was badly injured by the truck in Chembur on 20th morning, immediately took time out from his busy shooting schedule in Bangkok to write an impassioned plea to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra asking him to stop the entry of elephants into the city of Mumbai.

"Elephants are social creatures and in the wild, they spend about 18 hours a day walking, feeding, bathing in water holes and interacting with other elephants" writes Rahul. "They are intelligent and sensitive animals and are known to mourn the loss of a relative, just as humans do. In captivity, less exercise, hard flooring (which does not have any 'give' to it) and standing around in faeces and urine when chained up causes cracked and soft toe nails".

Rahul further says, "They are made to walk and beg on hot tar roads in the city. The methods used to control elephants are very cruel and cause a threat to the mahouts as well. This is because hands on training requires absolute dominance of the elephants by the keeper which can only be achieved initially by inflicting pain on the animals and then reinforced by the threat of it. We have all seen the 'ankus' used by the mahouts to cruelly control elephants".

"I am writing to ask you; as the Chief Minister of Maharshtra, won't you please ban the entry of these gentle giants into the city of Mumbai" begs Rahul? "Let Mumbai be the first city to take a compassionate step and say 'Elephants belong in the wild, not in cities'".
